I can not begin to describe the feeling of wonder we felt when we happened upon "The Glem". It must have been there for thousands of years, but due to the conditions in the cavern it looked like the day it was left there. We had no idea what it was, but there was no question that it was an artifact of alien design. After all these years of idle speculation here was proof!

Eventually we would explore the device further and this would be our undoing. The Glem was never shut down and waited to be used. It's prior owner had probably stepped out into our world in some far distance past and discovered how cruel it could be. We would soon find out that you should not play with what you don't understand...
