SHADOW INTRA TRAP #111

ASSIGNMENT: OBSERVATION & LOGGING

Date: 11/07/2358 Time: 05:32

LOCATION - LAS - QUADRANT 7 REACTOR ROOM
VISUAL SCAN - Shadow operatives "Walking Dude" and "Harpy" have just entered the room.

			WALKING DUDE
I need to talk to comops, bring up the covert link.

			AI
	Affirmative.

There is the soft electrical whine of machinary as a section of the wall falls
away. A holigraphic display of wireing disappears and a communications
console is revealed. Walking Dude presses some control sections and the
monitor becomes active. After a few seconds an older, Germanic looking
male in military attire fills the screen.

			THE COLONEL
	We have been waiting.

			WALKING DUDE
There have been complications. I was forced to
	destroy my transport.

			THE COLONEL
Evidently subtly has disappeared from your
vocabulary. Don't you think a nuclear explosion
	was a little bit strident?

			WALKING DUDE
It put a big dent in their military.

			THE COLONEL
It also exaberrated an old problem. Your little display
of pyrotechnics has knocked them further off course and
more directly into our path. Because of your... misjudgement
our time table is once again moved up.

Walking dude pales. This is the first time Harpy has ever seen the man
shaken.

			WALKING DUDE
I'm sorry, sir. It should have occured to me.

			THE COLONEL
Yes, it should have. Command is very upset with
your actions. We are now going to have to be
expediant where caution was always the rule.
We are not happy number one.

			WALKING DUDE
What do you want me to do?

			THE COLONEL
Activate all of the cells. We will be within their
long range sensors within two weeks. We will
probably have to move within the following two
weeks after that. You will all be very busy over
there in that time frame number one.

			WALKING DUDE
Yes sir. I promise things will go smoothly.

			THE COLONEL
They had better number one. The future of all of
	your generations depends on it.

The terminal winks out. Walking Dude stares in silence at the dead
screen. Harpy says nothing.
